Artist's Statement

I am inspired by architecture and large, sprawling subjects bathed in the luminous colors of twilight. I strive to combine the expanse of a metropolis and the grandeur of bold architectural subjects with the glowing, vibrant colors of the early-evening sky. The neon brilliance of an urban landscape and the magnificent glass facades of skyscrapers reflecting the rich, saturated hues and cobalt blues of nautical twilight are the focus of my work.

I have specialized in timed exposures and experimental photography for four decades. I pay close attention to color and composition, perspective and balance. I enjoy shooting the spectacle of fireworks and lightening, the brash brilliance of an amusement pier at sunset, and the expanse of a city as twilight fades on the horizon.
